Second Breakfast

Summary: Pippin intends that nothing will ever again get in the way of second breakfast!

“What are you doing Pippin?” Merry asked, a hint of irritation in his voice.

“I’m having myself second breakfast, what does it look like?” He responded with equal irritation in his own voice.

“Don’t you remember or are you completely daft?”

“What do you mean?” Pippin asked absently, focused on his food.

Merry playfully slugged Pippin, causing him to spill his morning ale. “Gandalf is coming to the Shire today! We might have another shot at those fireworks!”

“You spilled my ale!”

“Didn’t you hear me Pippin?” Merry was amazed that his friend didn’t seem to care that the wizard was returning. This was his first visit since their whole… adventure… quest… whatever.

“Yes I did. But he’s not getting here until after second breakfast, and I intend to finish that in peace,” Pippin harrumphed in reply.
