“There are dragons here!” Wash exclaimed as he parked the ship and an obviously lizard like creature flew by.
“We got no time to be paying mind to the local wildlife. And they ain’t dragons,” Mal said. “We got a job to do people, let’s go.”
“Flying lizards that breathe fire? I call them dragons.” He sat down the dinosaur he’d been playing with before the “dragon” had flown across the view screen in front of him.
“Like I said, we’ve got a job. Fretting over harmless creatures don’t get it done any faster.”
“Dragons aren’t harmless,” Wash objected.
“Well I think they’re cute.” Kaylee input. “They ain’t big enough to hurt no one. Local folk call em fireflies cause you can mostly see their breath best at night. And they ain’t breathing fire. It’s just a side effect of the planet’s atmosphere. Poor things.”
“No Kaylee, you can’t have one,” Mal replied. “But we just might be in port this evening. Though I’m not inclined to oblige if my crates ain’t loaded on time.”
