Done!

1. Comfort - There was nothing more comforting to Arica than lying in her husband’s arms, safe and protected from all the horrible things in the world.

2. Kiss – Eric kissed his wife softly, pulled her as close as he could, wanting to just stay in that one moment for an eternity.

3. Soft – Their first kiss was soft, slow, tentative, and yet desirous of more at the same time.

4. Pain – The expression on her face echoed all the torments she’d been through at the hands of their enemies.

5. Potatoes – Eric pretended to pout as Arica directed him to peel the potatoes she’d sat out on the counter.

6. Rain – As strange as it probably was to some people, walking through the rain was a different matter when a person was in love; it only made it more fun.

7. Chocolate – Arica sighed as she took another sip of her hot chocolate, her hands soaking in the heat from the cup she held.

8. Happiness – Eric and Arica watched as the twins played happily in the yard, running around and chasing the dog, who barked at them in return.

9. Telephone – “Hello?” Arica answered the phone, figuring it was probably Eric, calling from the airport on his return flight from overseas.

10. Ears – Nibbling on her ear and then nuzzling her neck, Eric sighed, never wanting to leave her side again, not even for a moment and yet he knew that just wasn’t possible – they both worked plus they had three children to take care of as well.

11. Name – Naming the problem was always the first step in any battle, especially those of the mind, and, well, Arica knew that her first obstacle was to deal with what had happened and how it was going to affect her and how much she was going to let it affect her.

12. Sensual – Eric loved the look on her face right now, the look that told him that she was completely in love with him.

13. Death – He’d never believed she’d left him; never would or could believe it, with or without a body present.

14. Sex – After Sark’s assault, making love had never quite been the same; between Arica’s hesitation and fear of the memories and Eric’s own hesitation about worrying over whether or not he was pushing her too much, they had a lot to process, and yet, they both knew they would work it out, as they always have done in the past.

15. Touch – Eric woke to a hand stroking his face gently and instinctively he knew that he was safe from all the mess of the world, and in particular their world.

16. Weakness – His greatest weakness and his greatest strength was his family, and all his enemies knew that, which was why they kept after them.

17. Tears – Tears coursed down her cheeks as she though of Eric and how she could possibly tell him what had happened now?

18. Speed – Eric mused over the irony -- in his experience, there was no such thing as a smooth or easy getaway; missions NEVER went according to plan; and those that you love were in the line of fire at one time or another; and here he was now, careening down the road as fast as the car would carry them away from danger.

19. Wind – Another gust blew, chilling both of them to the bone and Arica found herself berating herself for suggesting a walk on such a cold day.

20. Freedom – It was a liberating thing to know who you were, where you were going and who you wanted to spend all that time with, and they’d known from the first time they met.

21. Life – Despite wishes to the contrary, life never slowed for either; between Eric’s missions for the CIA and Arica’s cases at the lab, they knew they couldn’t keep up this schedule indefinitely

22. Jealousy – Arica hated how it made her feel, knowing that Eric had an ex-wife; an ex-wife he still worked with on occasion and who he seemed to get along with fairly well.

23. Hands – Eric reached over to take Arica’s hand, squeezing comfortingly; everything would work out and somehow he really believed that.

24. Taste – The thing Eric liked most about winter evenings in particular was coming home to eat a hot meal with Arica and the kids and then reading the kids a story while sitting in front of a roaring fireplace.

25. Devotion – “I’m not going anywhere,” she whispered softly as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

26. Forever – Forever was what they’d promised each other the day they got married, and they’d meant every word of their wedding vows – it didn’t make life easier per say, but it made it somehow more comforting to work through life’s problems with someone rather than alone.

27. Blood – Since he knew he must look a sight, covered in Sark’s blood, the first words out of his mouth were, “It’s not mine, I’m okay.”

28. Sickness – When he was the first one up, Eric immediately knew Arica had to be sick; she usually at least had the coffee on by the time he was conscious, well, semi-conscious.

29. Melody – The melody of an old love song played in the background as they lay in each other’s arms; an eternity of feeling inside a small moment.

30. Star – “One thing I hate about the city, be it Los Angeles or Boston, is that you can’t see the stars as well with all the pollution. Next time we move, let’s try for something a little further out in the country,” Arica suggested.

31. Home – This was home to them… a normal house with three kids; and they were both beyond happy to be at least trying to live a normal life.

32. Confusion – Eric didn’t quite understand the images in front of him; oh, he could see just fine but processing this information was a whole other issue.

33. Fear – A deep sense of terror paralyzed Arica until she realized that what she’d just ‘seen’ truly had been a dream.

34. Lightning/Thunder – Eric and Arica had planned to spend the night together, content with just being alone with each other for the first time in a long time, but the twins had other ideas; as soon as the storm rolled in, they ran into their parents’ room to escape from the loud boom of the thunder.

35. Bonds – The twin bond was both a puzzling and interesting phenomenon, that Eric and Arica had to deal with on a daily basis; and the twins were great at making their experience very challenging.

36. Market – Eric looked around the store, almost helpless; sure, ask him to shoot a bad guy any day… but finding his way around the market without making excessive circles inside the place was nigh impossible; yes, eventually he’d learn his way around but not without some help and experience.

37. Technology – Marshall’s gift to them was, as always, high tech, followed by a long-winded speech full of technobabble, but they appreciated the thought just the same.

38. Gift – “Well I don’t have a clue what to get anyone,” Eric offered (not-so) helpfully.

39. Smile – Her smile always had a profound affect on him; it was warm, sweet, inviting, and it made him feel as though he could do anything, especially to see it again.

40. Innocence – Eric smirked, then managed to paste an innocent look on his face. “Whatever do you mean?”

41. Completion – The case was almost done, but Arica knew taking a break could only refresh her mind and give her new insights when she came back to it, besides, she’d promised to meet Eric for lunch.

42. Clouds – “Okay, whoa, you can’t tell me you’ve never done serious cloud-watching,” Eric snickered, “Someone as creative as you should be able to find weird things I can’t see.”

43. Sky – Dusk could be a pretty romantic sight, with the colors that the sky changed.

44. Heaven – Knowing you’re loved and that you have someone to love is the closest feeling to heaven that you can find on earth, and Arica counted herself lucky to have Eric in her life.

45. Hell – “Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever forget what happened,” she said softly, her tone pained, the continued, “But I know I can’t and I guess… that hurts too, knowing that it’ll always be there… whether I’m asleep or awake.”

46. Sun – The sunlight creeping into the room eventually woke her up, but she found Eric sleeping soundly, dead to the world.

47. Moon – Night time was Arica’s favorite part of the day – it always had been, but now instead of spending the time in solitude with her own thoughts, she spent it with Eric – talking, watching a movie, cuddling, and more.

48. Waves – The waves of the ocean lapped at their feet as they sat on the beach, holding hands in the moonlight.

49. Hair -- Her hair was soft when he touched it, stroking gently and enjoying simply running his hands through it.

50. Supernova – As the room exploded with light, Arica caught a glimpse of Eric and she’d never been happier to see him.
